Regis & Kelly – February, 2008

In early February, 2008 the Regis & Kelly Show produced a week long segment about Jordan & Kacy who were married on their show.  Their two children are patients to our Cincinnati Hospital .  Millions of viewers now know what a great hospital system we have.

Note when Regis asked our doctor if this was a special case and the doctor responded – “No this is what we do every day”.  Peoples lives can be devastated in an instant and we as Shriners can be there to help.

Georgia Governor Sonny Purdue – January, 2008

For the past year, YAARAB Members Roger Wise and Imperial Sir Gene Braswell along with Imperial Sir Ralph Semb (Chairman of our hospitals) have been working with Governor Sonny Purdue and the PeachCare system to send Georgia kids to our hospitals.  In January, Gov Purdue announced the relationship in his State of the State address.

Shrine Hospitals / Georgia PeachCare Signing – February, 2008

Approx 500 Georgia kids receive some of the best medical care at our hospitals, but with the $1.5 million saved, PeachCare kids will now receive other medical treatments because they have additional funds to do so.  Shriners will affect the lives of many Georgia children for years to come.
